Peaky blinders (BBC)- ‘peaky blinders’ is a historical drama based on a Birmingham gang from just after the First World War. I like the series because it always keeps me on the edge of by seat with all the action that is involved.

Top boy(channel 4)- this drama is based about the rough streets of urban London, and about the drug trafficking and the violence that comes with. It gives an insight in to what the real London gangs go through just to get some cash.  The main motive for there is always money, but sometimes the money issues can cause a dispute or even death.

Doc martin (ITV)– is an ITV drama about a general practitioner in a small village in Cornwall. he has a strange phobia for of blood, which makes his job more, interesting. he qualified as an  vascular surgeon at imperial college London.

Prison break(Netflix)-  prison break is a drama currently shown on Netflix, the program is basically what the name is, a bunch of convicts escape from prison then they have to survive on the outside without being caught by the authorities. they go through lots of twists and turns which make it tricky for them both on the inside and outside. I like it because it is very gripping with the different difficulties that happen. 

Breaking Bad(Netflix)- is about two meth cooks from two completely different backgrounds, one of them is a  chemistry teacher at the local high  school, the other is a former student who is already in the business; together they make the 9.1% chemically pure crystal methamphetamine. i like this drama because of how random the mix is but you could actually seeing it happen as they're the perfect mix.

Misfits(E4)- this drama is about a group of young offenders who are in the middle of some community service when a freak storm comes out of no where and affects them all to get powers, except from one character. the characters quickly learn about there new powers and what their new possibilities. The crew face some weird encounter where there lives will be changed for ever. The reason i like misfits is because of the amount of stuff that happens and mucks up their futures.

fresh meat(Channel 4)-  fresh meat is comedy-drama based on a group of university students who were all to late to be accepted in the halls of residence, so they were all stuck in to a house together. They are all from completely different backgrounds and if it weren't for uni they probably would never have even talked to each other. the reason that I like this drama is purely to do with the comedy behind it.

american horror story (Netflix)- american horror story is about a family who moves in to haunted house, to star a new life. They were amazed why the house was so cheap but they were soon to realize that this house wasn't an ordinary house. The family was soon to encounter the former owners of the house but they were in a ghostly form. The family had a young girl in their family and she was suffering from depression and soon became friends with one of the ghosts from the house, her depression gets too serious and she resorting to ways to commit suicide.

The night manager- This drama is about a night manager, Jonathan Pine of a hotel Cairo Egypt, who has undergone as an MI5 spy to prevent the sale of weapon of mass destructions. He befriends the boss and becomes his right hand man. This is made difficult as one of the higher managers in the MI5 is apart of this illegal activity, this means he is force dot get help from other M15 members who know that this person is doing dirty business. He is challenged with twist and turns along the way, for example falling in love with someone he shouldn't which therefore complicates his future in the group.

lilyhammer- is about a Boston New York gangster (Johnny) whom is disgusted with the new gang boss so he ends up ratting him out, this causing him having to move to lilyhammer, Norway. He has a relationship where he ends up having a set of twins. He becomes a club owner where he faces problems with local authorities which he dodges by acquiring connections whilst being in lilyhammer (learnt from the mob). The Boston gang fonds out where he is and they are well aware of what he's done, so some of them are sent over to lilyhammer but he goes off to Boston to sort his problems out.
